1. What is the Skill India Plus – WeLearn Certified Career & Education Counsellor Program?
This is a Level 5 NSQF-aligned certification program designed to train individuals in modern career counselling, education planning, psychometric testing, and student guidance. It is jointly delivered under Skill India Plus with WeLearn EdTech.
2. What is the duration of the program?
The program duration is 6 months, delivered online in a fully self-paced format, supported by weekly live sessions.
3. How many credits does the program offer?
The course carries 18 academic credits, aligned with the NSQF Level 5 competency framework.
4. How many modules are included?
The program consists of 20 comprehensive modules covering counselling foundations, assessments, career mapping, communication, ethics, industry trends, and practical casework.
5. Is the program completely online?
Yes. All learning materials, videos, and assignments are available online. Learners can study anytime from anywhere.
6. Are there any live classes?
Yes. The program includes one live session per week for doubt clearing, case discussions, and expert guidance.
7. Who is this program suitable for?
Ideal for teachers, educators, psychologists, life coaches, counsellors, students pursuing psychology, and professionals interested in counselling.
8. Will I receive a certificate after completion?
Yes. Upon successful completion of all modules, assessments, and the final evaluation, participants receive the Skill India Plus – WeLearn Certified Career & Education Counsellor Program certificate.
9. What is the assessment process?
Assessment includes module-wise quizzes, assignments, case studies, and a final project & viva (conducted online).

- Continuous assessment through assignments and projects (40%)
- Mid-module and end-module evaluations (20%)
- Capstone project and viva (20%)
- Final examination (20%)
Internship Guidelines
The internship component is a compulsory 3-month paid internship with WeLearn or partner institutions. Participants will counsel a minimum of 25 students under supervision, maintain counselling logs and reflective journals, and submit an internship report and receive mentor feedback.
Certification Details
Upon successful completion of coursework, assignments, internship, and final evaluation, participants will receive a joint certification by WeLearn and MEPSC, recognised under the National Skill Qualification Framework (NSQF).
